Catch Up...

Is it really MARCH?!...wow...I am way behind on blogging...trying to finish February...then I will worry about missed posts from the beginning of the year and LAST year!  For some reason on this new version I can't get my photos to rotate...so bear with me!

Baking Cookies...

Ethan and Daphne are learning family traditions...baking "Nanny's Cookies".  Jimmy is in charge of making the dough from scratch via the secret family recipe...I am not even sure that the one we have in writing is the sure deal or if he adds things last minute...Jimmy then rolls out the cookie dough and I proceed to coat and decorate and bake.  Now that we have two more helpers they assist with the decorating.  This was quite the task.  I am pretty sure Daphne ate more of the decorations than she used on the cookies...and at times I found her licking the unbaked cookies...added ingredient "saliva"...interesting...  Ethan thought the more the decorations the better...so his had tons of extras...
All in all it probably only took and extra hour to have the kids "help" mostly because of the extra clean up required...cookie sugar really does finds its way into every crevice of the kitchen!

Ethan's 1st time bowling was at our neighbor Andrew's b-day party and was a huge success.  Ethan has skills...strikes and spares achived with the bumpers of course and you got to love the "shot put" technique that Ethan has coined!  (Hopefully we are not banned from the bowling alley!)  Ethan adores his friend Andrew who is in kindergarden and enjoys hanging out with the "older kids".  Luckily, the girls on the team kept the game flowing with keeping the boys on task!  Ethan found the ball return fascinating...figuring things out just like his daddy!
