Baking Cookies...

Ethan and Daphne are learning family traditions...baking "Nanny's Cookies".  Jimmy is in charge of making the dough from scratch via the secret family recipe...I am not even sure that the one we have in writing is the sure deal or if he adds things last minute...Jimmy then rolls out the cookie dough and I proceed to coat and decorate and bake.  Now that we have two more helpers they assist with the decorating.  This was quite the task.  I am pretty sure Daphne ate more of the decorations than she used on the cookies...and at times I found her licking the unbaked cookies...added ingredient "saliva"...interesting...  Ethan thought the more the decorations the better...so his had tons of extras...
All in all it probably only took and extra hour to have the kids "help" mostly because of the extra clean up required...cookie sugar really does finds its way into every crevice of the kitchen!
