Bath time...

No longer does Ethan fit in the kitchen sink...Ethan tried out his new "travel" bath; that discreately folds up for storage & trips...he liked that it gave him more room to splash...Daddy enjoyed the benefits of being on the receiving end! Despite all Daddy's hard efforts to give Ethan a mohawk it didn't work...maybe in a month when he has more hair!

Rain or Shine...(Belated post)

Jimmy was quite the busy beaver on Sunday...despite the on & off downpouring rain he got the shrubs and topiary trees planted in our front flowerbed...sorry no pictures of the muddy being he was after he was done...Ethan and I were shouting out orders from the comfort of indoors...

Who knew...

a chair could be soo much fun...Ethan was inspecting his future deck chair at Gramzie ladybug's & Leepa's when we were over for dinner...

Motherhood...

...one of the hardest jobs I have experienced yet the most rewarding. I am very proud to be the mom of my sweetie pie Ethan! Ethan has changed my entire perspective on life...my day is now wholesome with smiles, giggles, and cooing...even the "presents" he leaves me in my hair & on my clothes, that I don't find until I get to work, make me laugh & think how much life has changed in such a short time! Being a mom has made me appreciate my mom that much more! Thanks Mom for being such a positive role model! My mother-in-law is wonderful as well, and has done such a great job with her parenting too...we are soo pleased that Ethan has them both involved in his upbringing!

Jimmy & Ethan surprised me with a Garmin navigation system for my car...and for any of those out there who know me well...this is a PERFECT gift for someone who is as directionally challenged as I...so that leaves me wondering...is it really a gift for me or is it a way to keep Jimmy sane and divert all those frantic phone calls of mine when I am lost because MapQuest was wrong?! Anyway, to all you mother's out there...Happy Mother's Day!

Golf anyone?!

Daddy's little golfer-to-be turned 5 months old today. The highlights of the past month include the introduction of solid food; Ethan has enjoyed sampling rice cereal, carrots, peas, & squash to date...and he has liked everything that has been offered! He has mastered rolling supine to prone and is quite a wiggle worm...he no longer likes to sit down and be held during the day...a real chip off the old block, Daddy! Ethan is also able to transfer objects between his hands. He has discovered his feet too, which keep him fascinated. One of his new tricks is dropping & throwing toys out of the stroller when we are on walks. We are now working on independent sitting...Ethan feels he is ready as he does not like when Mommy is holding onto him...however, he forgets that he does not have the protective arm extension reflex yet & he is going to just topple over!

Donde esta la fiesta?

Happy Cinco de Mayo... senor Ethan attended his first Cinco de Mayo fiesta on Saturday...we needed to bundle up as we had quite cool weather...on Monday we just hung around home and chewed on some blocks to celebrate! (Please feel free to correct my Spanish grammer if it is wrong as it has been a few years...)

I'm a BIG boy now!

Ethan is eagerly wanting to be more and more independent, he loves to bang...and I mean BANG on his activity center...it is amazing it is still in one piece; his vocalizations are getting much louder, he shrieks & laughs through out the day, and likes to get everyones attention; he is quite the little ham! After our walk today he had some water in his big boy cup...which he wanted to hold!
