Goodies for Santa & the reindeer

We have been celebrating our holiday over many days. We had Christmas Eve appetizers and desserts with Grandmom & Grandpop, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Christmas breakfast at our house with 10 adults and 4 kids. Christmas dinner at Grandmom & Grandpop's. And the day after Christmas dinner at Gramzie Ladybug and Leepa's with Aunt Tiffy, Christian and Emma. We have been eating to our hearts content, opening what seems to be endless presents and enjoying our family time. We are hoping that over this break we will eventually get our Christmas Cards sent out as well!

Christmas Take 3...

Christmas Take #1

Ethan has been obsessed with our neighbors power wheels for a while now.  Against Mrs. Clause's better judgement, Santa and Mrs. Clause thought it was time for Ethan & Daphne to have their own wheels.  Ethan is a pro driver...spinning the wheels on take off...fish tail stops...quickly changing gears and directions; Daphne is a petal to the metal hold the wheel steady type...yes, that means she does not get that she needs to steer...luckily Ethan has mastered navigating from the passenger seat!  The Dune Racer was the BIG surprise this year.  They also had a few smaller gifts to open under the tree and in their stockings.  Of course Ethan & Daphne were completely spoiled by their grandparents, aunts and uncles as well.

Liberty Island...

Jimmy has an interesting project he is working on...examining the foundation of the elevator at the Statue of Liberty!

Preschool Update...

Ethan is making wonderful projects at school...we are loving all the decorations he is bringing home! Keep up the good work Ethan.

Ethan looks forward to going to preschool...in fact he has asked if he could go more than 2 days per week...He is quickly picking up new things. We love to hear the songs he is learning. Ethan has gotten quite good at saying his prayer before meals as well.

Ethan came home from school one day and reported that Dianna can color in the lines...something we have tried to work on in the past but didn't interest Ethan one bit--Ethan was all impressed that she colored soo nicely--of course he is quite competitive and finally decided that he would do it too...come to find out if he puts his mind to it he CAN do it!

We recently had a phone conference with his teacher. We learned Ethan is "animated" and "quick to speak his mind"...hmmmm... Overall it was a POSITIVE conversation and we are really proud of him!

15 Year High School Reunion

We gratefully hosted Turkey Day this year.  We have soo many things to be thankful for and are truely blessed.  We were Happy our Boston family was able to join us too!

So many apples to choose from...Ethan likes taking them off the tree...while Daphne prefers the ones on the ground...

Finally...we have found an orchard nearby to go apple picking!  Love those fuji apples!  And the best cider in the world!
