...Down by the Sea...

Ethan had his first true vacation at Ocean City, NJ. Gramzie Ladybug & Leepa rented a house at the shore for a week and we were lucky to join them...Auntie Tiff was only able to join us for a short stay :-(
Ethan is quite the little beach bum...we lucked out with the weather and were out on the beach daily; to our dismay he enjoyed eating the sand...probably amounting to a pound in all...and licking the salt water off his hands...he also took a few dips in the frigid ocean!

He continues to grow like a weed and now is consistently reaching out to be held/picked up. Ethan is very frustrated that he cannot crawl nor walk on his own yet...but manages to scoot & flip to get into things he should not be getting into!

We were faced with sleeping woes...as Ethan had difficulty sleeping in the pack n play...he did not quite get the point that he was supposed to SLEEP in it and not PLAY! Translation...Jimmy & I were quite sleep deprived (as I am sure the renters below us were as well!) But the awesome coffee helped us manage! Thank goodness for caffeine!
The shore holds many great sentiments for us as it was a common place to go as I grew up...we continued the tradition of strolls on the boardwalk, riding the surrey, munching on all of our favorites (Mack & Manco's Pizza, Johnson's popcorn, Steele's Fudge, Shrivers Salt water Taffy, Ocean City Coffee Co.) and also added some new favorites to our list (The Island Grill, Ove's, TJ's ice cream). We had a wonderful time and can't believe how fast it went by...thanks Mom and Lee.
One of these days I will learn how to label each photo and place a slide show into the posting!

On the Move...

Well, Ethan just doesn't like to sit still...especially when he sees something he knows he is not allowed to touch...I've never seen him move soo fast! He is trying to get down the idea of crawling...so far he is able to go from sitting to his hands and knees...then he sways forward & backward but does not quite get that he needs to actually move his arms...every now & then he even lifts himself up to hands & feet...we are sure in for a lot of excitement!

7 months Old...

We can hardly believe how fast Ethan is growing up...we look back on his newborn pictures and can barely remember him ever being that small! Our lives have been filled with soo much joy since Ethan has arrived! Ethan appears to be all boy...he likes getting into things he shouldn't, doesn't like to sit still, likes to rough house, and has random scratches from who knows what!

E-T-H-A-N spells "trouble"...

I am not able to turn my head for a second when it comes to Ethan...if I go to get a bottle Ethan dives for the remote...or if he is in the pack n play he tries to dismantle the wiring!! In the swing he tries to hold onto the mobile as it turns around just like a little monkey! Time to do some more child proofing!!

Happy 4th of July!

Ethan celebrated his first Fourth of July at a picnic at Grandmom & Grandpop's...no local out door fireworks this year because of the rain...but we watched our beloved Beantown fireworks from the comfort of our home...remembering back to the days that we camped out all day along the Charles River to get the best seats in town...there is nothing like the Boston Pops in person and the spectacular display of fireworks...we can't wait to bring Ethan to see them! (If you look closely amongst the drool you can spot Ethan's 2 toothies)
