Ethan's First Photo Shoot...

Well, we finally got around to taking professional photos...Ethan was quite the ham despite not having his normal nap...we went in intending to buy one collage of photos and ended up with a lot more because I just could not decide...here are a few proofs to view...the photographer was wonderful...I definitely recommend Picture People!!

Ethan is CRAZY with his mobility...gone are the days of laying down to play for a few minutes...he barely can stand lying down for a diaper change...as you can see he is trying to get into all kinds of mischief on the changing table! And the highlight of my week...Ethan now says "MaMa" yippeee!!!

Lil' Swimmer...

Ethan took his first dip in the pool...Ethan checked out the water at Grandmom & Grandpops...he likes the splashing action but not soo sure that he likes to be splashed! Ethan debuted his boat, and is looking forward to further voyages...

A visit to Auntie Tiffy's...

This weekend we headed into the city to visit Tiffany's condo and give her "get well" wishes after her hip surgery...her place is absolutely adorable...next time we will have to check out the roof deck to see the skyline!

Happy Birthday...

Jimmy now joins the 30 crowd!! We celebrated at home after our long weekend away! (Also celebrating b-days...Lisa is 30 too...and Teagan turns 1!)

Beantown Welcomes Ethan...

This past weekend we took a road trip to our old neck of the woods...we visited our friends/Boston family, Holly & Joey and their adorable son Ryan! Ethan was a trooper in the car...just a few bouts of wailing. Ryan was a terrific host and welcomed Ethan with tons of toy sharing and hugs! Ethan loved to watch Ryan play as well. Ryan is growing up soo quickly...it was great to catch a glimpse into his life adventures...Jimmy was busy golfing with his old co-workers while Ethan & I headed into Boston for a Mommy's favorite things tour...we hit Finagle a Bagel, the Boston Common, The Boston Public Gardens, Boston Harbor, & Fanuiel Hall...Ethan was NOT digging shopping so we had to pass on that! Filene's has taken on quite a transformation anyway...it was completely gutted!! We also attended NU Family day at Fenway & were able to make a quick stop at Northeastern as well...sorry for all of our friends we didn't get a chance to catch up with--we must visit again!!

Happy Father's Day...

Ethan's number one hero is Daddy...he looks forward to rough housing with Jimmy the minute he walks in the door...Ethan & Jimmy spend countless HOURS...laughing, playing, watching D.I.Y. network, taking walks, & of course ganging up on Mommy!

Jimmy has pleasantly surprised me with his parenting skills...he changed all of Ethan's diapers for the first 24 hours of his life automatically...and continues to participate in this task; he has become accustomed to spit up (is able to wait at least 5 minutes before he has to change his own clothes ;-) & now "catches" it in his hands to avoid hitting the carpet & furniture! Jimmy teaches Ethan all kinds of tricks...how to make different noises/fly/balance...They have become quite inseparable pals...Jimmy is a TERRIFIC Dad...Ethan is truly lucky to have such a wonderful role model---thanks Daddy!!

The 1/2 year mark...

Ethan has hit 6 months old in flying colors...he is now tipping the scales at 18.1 lbs (50-75th percentile)...measuring tall at 27 inches (75th percentile)...He was such a big boy with his shots today...he had 5 and made it to the fourth one with only a wimper...by the fifth it was more of a wail...but once I picked him up he was all calm...defintely braver than MOMMY with needles!! You can see his 2 little toothies poking thru on the bottom photo!

Ethan spent some time checking out his new wheels...at this time he is not quite Fred Flinstone...he rather just play with the gizmos on the walk & ride...before we know it he will also be able to stand and push it by himself...woundn't that be similar to pushing a shopping cart ;-)

We also discovered that Mommy has some "skillz" as well...I was able to put the toy together all by myself...screw driver and all without Daddy's help!!

Jumperoo...

Ethan might just be half kangaroo...he enjoys bouncing and turning around in his doorway jumper...he is still actively chewing on everything he can get his hands on...he has 2 bottom TEETH that recently surfaced and get higher each day it seems...
